1. About the Service

SplitMyTicket is a Progressive Web App (PWA) published by SullyAndCie (Belgium) and available at https://splitmyticket.com.

The service allows restaurant bills to be shared among multiple people by scanning a receipt using artificial intelligence, selecting individual items, and facilitating reimbursement via IBAN bank transfer or Payconiq.

2. Access to the Service

2.1 The Organiser

The organiser is the person who creates a sharing session. They must create an account with a valid email address via a magic link. They are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information entered (items, prices, participants, IBAN if applicable).

2.2 Participants

Participants are people invited via a unique link generated for each session. No account is required to participate. Access is via a secure token included in the link. This token is personal and must not be shared with third parties.

2.3 Session Duration

Each session expires automatically 48 hours after creation. After this period, the data is deleted and the participant link no longer works.

3. Acceptable Use

By using the service, you agree to:

4. Liability

4.1 Warranty Limitations

SplitMyTicket is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:

4.2 Organiser Liability

The organiser is solely responsible for the accuracy of the amounts claimed. SplitMyTicket does not intervene in financial disputes between users and cannot be held liable for data entry errors or misinterpretation of the receipt.

4.3 Payments

SplitMyTicket does not process payments directly. Financial transactions are carried out via Payconiq or standard IBAN bank transfer, services subject to their own terms and conditions. We cannot be held liable for any payment failure, delay, or dispute.

4.4 OCR Quality

Automatic receipt recognition is performed by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, particularly on crumpled receipts, in low light, or with unusual fonts. The organiser is invited to verify and correct the extracted items before sharing the link.

5. Intellectual Property

All elements of the service (logo, interface, architecture, code) are protected by copyright and belong to SullyAndCie. Any reproduction, representation or use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

Receipt photos you submit remain your property. By submitting them, you grant SplitMyTicket only the non-exclusive, time-limited licence necessary for OCR processing. No other use is made of these photos.

6. Personal Data and Analytics

The processing of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://splitmyticket.com/privacy. This policy forms an integral part of these Terms of Use.

Regarding the optional collection of anonymised analytical data (consumption habits, average basket, etc.): this collection is subject to your explicit consent and can be disabled at any time from your account settings.

7. Cookies

The application uses strictly necessary technical cookies for its operation (authentication session). Analytical cookies may be placed with your prior consent. You can manage your preferences via the consent banner or your browser settings.

8. Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account or session in the event of a breach of these Terms of Use, fraudulent use, or infringement of third-party rights, without notice or compensation.

You may delete your account at any time from the settings. Deletion results in the erasure of all your personal data within 30 days.

9. Amendments to the Terms of Use

We may amend these Terms of Use at any time. In the event of a substantial amendment, you will be notified by email. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the new Terms of Use constitutes acceptance.

10. Applicable Law — Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to seek an amicable solution before resorting to legal proceedings. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts of Belgium shall have sole jurisdiction.

For users residing in the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in their country of residence remain applicable.
